Kalaw is one of the famous hill towns of Shan State and is inhabited by only a few thousand people, originationg from the various ethnic groups of Myanmar. Native belles wear colourful, locally - woven national cosutumes.
The British government, during the colonial period , created Kalaw as a summer resort hill station. By visting Kalaw you can feel the atmosphere of past colonial times.
One of the most interesting places in Kalaw is "Cool Water Lake".The water of this lake has been tested scientifically in England and the results have shown that it is very rare natural spring water that could be vigorously helpful to human health and longivity. The entire water supply system is based upon this "Cool Water Lake". So why not come to Kalaw and take a "once in a life time" opportunity to try this wonderful and priceless medicinal spring water for you and your family.
